Adam sadly passed away on the 10th of December 2007, after an 18 month battle against bowel cancer. We would like to thank everyone who supported him through this time, and all those who fundraised or donated money to help pay for his treatment.
The Appeal raised a total of £80,000. Although only a small portion of the funds were spent on Adam's treatment, it was only possible to start the treatment if we were able to pay for a complete course of treatment, costing £55,000, up front.
While we stopped actively fundraising once we reached £55,000, we are grateful for the generousity of those who continued to donate after this time, in the event that Adam would need further treatment.
We have donated the remaining funds from the Appeal to the following charities:
Bowel Cancer UK - £25,000
Princess Alice Hospice, Esher - £15,000
Royal Marsden Hospital - £5,000
St. Andrews Childrens Hospice, Grimsby - £3,000
St. Andrews Hospice, Grimsby - £3,000
St. Barnabus Hospice, Lincoln - £6,000
McMillan Nurses - £2083.81
Mulberry Centre, Isleworth - £1,000
Jeff Cocks (private Avistan/Erbitux patient) - £6,000
Marie Curie Foundation - £1,000
